THEME!!

Let's cut to the chase, shall we?

Team TEDx@SXCA is pleased to announce their theme.

The theme of our event is:

''BEYOND THE PARADIGMS''

which means dreaming without barriers which will encourage the people and give them assurance that they aren't the only ones wanting to be different and they can begin now. Not everybody has had the courage to think of doing something they love no matter how good they may be at it.

There you have it, Folks. We know your anticipation is high. Tell you what? So, is ours.

Enthusiastically Yours,

TEDx@SXCA

Tedx university event

University events are TED_X events hosted at a college or university and organized by current university administration, staff, faculty or students. It gives universities the opportunity to share the unique innovation and ideas that the community is creating.

And that's exactly what is going to happen at St. Xaviers, Ahmedabad.

Stay tuned for the latest updates.

Innovatively Yours,

Team TEDx@SXCA

What is a TEDx event?

A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with the community. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. The content and design of each TEDx event is unique and developed independently, but all of them have features in common.

TED's format:

A suite of short, carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances that are idea-focused, and cover a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter.

TED Talk videos:

Every TEDx event either shows only TED Talk videos to its audience, or shows both TED Talk videos and live speakers from the community. For events less than half a day in length, two TED Talks from TED.com are required to be shown. For longer events, 25% of the total number of talks must be official TED Talk videos.

Diversity of topics:

All TEDx events present multiple issues and a diversity of voices from many disciplines. After all, what’s the fun without a little variety?

Community-driven and bias-free content:

A TEDx event is organized by volunteers from the local community, and just like TED events, it lacks any commercial, religious or political agenda. Its goal is to spark conversation, connection and community.

Simply yours,

Why organize a TEDx event?

TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. They believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. On TED.com, they are building a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the world's most inspired thinkers — and a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other, both online and at TED and TEDx events around the world, all year long.

In fact, everything they do — from their TED Talks videos to the projects sparked by the TED Prize, from the global TEDx community to the TED-Ed lesson series — is driven by this goal: How can we best spread great ideas?

Passionately yours,

TEDx@SXCA
